The New Big Money Machine – Internet Video Marketing

Friday, August 14th, 2009

You have probably heard whispers of it, maybe even caught a brief sight of it yourself. Countless video sites on the web are just now getting it off the ground. Video is literally taking over the internet. A few years ago, online videos were few and far between, but now they’re more common than colored lights at Christmas, and internet video marketing is the blossoming new business that’s rolling out of the station on that particular freight train. Small businesses are hitching a ride as well, because for almost no investment, with the properly presented message, they can launch their products around the world in the blink of an eye.

It’s still a fresh, new idea, so the time is right to hop on board. Everybody is already tired of e-mail, but they are all using video on-line to show there lives, comic adventures and deliver their personal messages.

Do you remember the last advertisement you came across while paging through a magazine? I sure don’t. Marketing big-wigs call it ad blindness. We are so used to being inundated with unsolicited advertising that, unless it’s a real attention grabber, we tend to just tune that advertising out. E-mail isn’t fun anymore, it is work, and e-mail advertisements are just shoved aside like so much junk.

I don’t know about you, but I barely even pay attention to my e-mail nowadays, giving it a quick scan for what’s important and dumping the rest. It seems like every day my e-trash gets fuller and fuller.

Electronic mail just isn’t fun anymore. It’s so full of spam that, nowadays, you’d be hard pressed to find anyone who gets excited when they see 37 new messages in their inbox.

And, of course, like any top-notch bad guy, e-mail has become dangerous too. Open the wrong message and your hard drive crashes. Another e-mail might send your credit card number and passwords to someone in Uzbekistan. It is really just so much easier to ignore it than risk it. And there’s the reason for the newfound success of online video right there. E-mail is ignored, filtered, trashed. How can marketers possibly use it as an honest means to send their messages?

Well, here’s some good news for you. Starting a new online marketing campaign is as easy as pie. The internet video market is leaving that old e-mail marketing in its wake.

With only one video marketing message online, you will leave your competition in the dust. It’s as easy as creating your own, tailored video product endorsement and posting it on one or more of the hundreds of options you can effortlessly find online. Put a few of those boring clicks to good use.

If your target audience was born after the Beatles broke up, then you are in luck. Those are the people who categorically can not tear their eyes away from online video. Internet video marketing is going to bring real life to your products, and deliver them into the lives of your target audience, as they surf video sites, ignoring their e-mail.
