Credit card companies are making billions of dollars each year off the misfortune and irresponsibility of the customers. There instrument of choice? Hidden credit card chages and fees. You know the stuff on the back of the application so small you need a magnifying glass to read. There is a reason why the fine print is boring, complicated, and hard to read.
When people are hit with a surprise bill from their credit card company, one of the first things they will say is that the credit card company “didn’t tell them this” or “didn’t tell them that.” While this may be true, the credit card company will simply tell you to read their terms of service. Of course, they didn’t expect you read it in the first place. There are a number of hidden charges you will want to avoid when using your credit card. The first is late fees. When you are late making a payment, you may have to pay a late fee which is as high as $30. The best way to avoid this is to make your payments on time. While this may sound simple, there are a number of things that can cause you to be late.
