I ran across a great resource tonight that covers a variety of computer related information. The Ideliverit Blog covers a variety of topics like laptops, notebooks, and other computer related topics.
One of the topics of discussion that caught my attention that I wanted to share with my readers was an entry on Thinking Ahead to Preventing Laptop Theft. Laptop theft has been running rampant across the US in recent months. This entry discusses ways to help you prevent this from happening to you. The tip I liked most, was so simple - Mark your laptop or notebook. According to the entry, “Marking your laptop helps with the recovery of a stolen (or lost) laptop. Either engrave your information onto your laptop or use a tamper-resistant asset tag. After all, the best proof that something is yours is your name right there on the stolen item.” I also liked the tip about marking your laptop in a place a thief would not think to look. Marking your laptop in the battery compartment would be a wise choice.
